HOW IT WORKS
We begin by welcoming everybody to the space, seated in an community circle where we can set our intentions for the event. Starting with some gentle warm-up movements and transitioning into a freeform dance journey riding the music like wave.
WHAT HAPPENS
People of all walks of life, shapes and sizes are welcome to dance however they please. We ask that all dancers honour the shared space and each another.
The main guidelines are that we refrain from speaking on the dance floor to allow full emersion into the moment, we honour the no drugs/substances/alcohol policy and we don't take pictures or video on the dance floor or of other participants (host excluded). These core guidelines are what keep the ecstatic dance floor an intentional, sacred and safe space for you to be held and supported by to drop deep into the experience and have powerful, transformational dance moments that lead to the natural high available in the embodied connection to yourself and your surroundings.
